What we're all about...

No Excuses. Just Solutions

Success on a jobsite comes from clarity, ownership, and follow-through — not just the work itself, but how it’s communicated and handled from start to finish. Clear communication is at the core of how we operate. Problems aren’t ignored or buried.

They’re addressed early and directly. Owning mistakes and finding fast solutions keeps projects moving, relationships solid, and builds trust across every phase. Accountability isn’t optional.

It’s part of the foundation. There’s no ego in the way when something needs fixing. Taking responsibility and solving problems on the spot is what sets professionals apart from everyone else. Every job is approached with a team-first mindset. The work we do sets the stage for everyone that follows.

From concrete and framing to utilities and finish grade. That’s why every trench, every pad, and every slope is done with intention: to make the next phase smoother, safer, and more efficient. When the next crew rolls in, the goal is for them to say, “This was done right.” That’s the standard.

Our Values…

Safety First

-Every job begins and ends with safety. We protect our crew, our clients, and the communities we work in by holding ourselves to the highest safety standards.

Quality Without Compromise

-We believe precision and craftsmanship matter. From site preparation to final grading, we deliver results that stand the test of time.

Integrity & Trust

-Our word is our contract. We operate with transparency, honesty, and accountability—earning the trust of homeowners, builders, and inspectors alike.

Respect for People & Property

-Every site is someone’s investment, home, or vision. We treat each job with care and respect, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum professionalism.

Innovation & Efficiency

-We combine experience with forward-thinking solutions, using the right equipment, methods, and technology to get the job done smarter and faster.

Community Commitment

-We live and work here too. Our reputation is built on relationships, and we take pride in strengthening our community one project at a time.

About the owner

My name is Dan Dyrdahl, owner of All Terrain Contractors, and I’ve been around this work for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are weekends spent out on my dad’s heavy civil job sites, not just watching, but working. Loading trucks, compacting fill, and learning how to read grade and cut it right. One summer, I spent nearly every weekend helping build a new elementary school. By fall, I was walking into first grade at that same school, proud as hell to point at the ball field during recess and tell my friends, “I compacted that.” That sense of pride never left. Today, I stay involved – running equipment, setting grade, and making sure the jobsite is right before the next trade steps in.

I don’t subcontract responsibility, and I don’t vanish when the unexpected happens. What we do sets the tone for everything that follows, and I take that seriously. I’ve built strong relationships with inspectors throughout King and Pierce County by doing things right the first time. I’ve built ties with suppliers who answer my calls, not just because I pay on time, but because I show up and deliver. I plan to keep building this business the same way I started it; through pride, reliability, and a clear standard: Everything with our name on it is done right.
